What Sagely Stone stores, what it does not, and who else handles your details: Stripe for payments, an email service for messages, and Anthropic only if you ask a question in your own words.

Who we are

Sagely Stone is operated by Atronia Innovations Inc, 3134 Friendswood Ave, El Monte, CA 91733, United States. It is responsible for the details described on this page.

Readings without an account

A reading you do without signing in is worked out in your browser. The birth date or facing you enter is part of the page's address, so it stays in your browser history and in any link you share. We do not save it to an account or a database.

If you create an account

We store your email address and your password. The password is stored only in scrambled form (a salted hash), so nobody here can read it.

We store the people you record: the name you give them, how they are related to you, their sex, their birth date and, if you enter it, their hour of birth. We store the places you record: a name, whether it is a home or a business, the direction it faces, the year it was built and any note you add.

We store nothing worked out from these. Every reading is calculated again each time you open it.

To slow down anyone guessing passwords, we count failed sign-ins for up to 30 minutes. A count is kept under a one-way code made from the email address and the network address the attempt came from, never the addresses themselves, and old counts are deleted as new ones are made.

If you send somebody an invitation, the details they choose to enter are added to your account, and they are told so before they enter anything.

Payments and orders

Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. For a subscription we store your Stripe customer number and the state of your subscription.

When you buy a piece, Stripe collects your name, email address, shipping address and phone number, and passes them to us so that we can send the order. We use them for that and for nothing else.

Email

Password-reset emails and messages sent through our contact form go through an email delivery service. A message you send us contains what you wrote and, if you give it, the address to reply to.

Questions in your own words

When a subscriber asks a question in their own words, the question and the reading it is about, including the birth date, are sent to Anthropic, which writes the answer. We keep neither the question nor the answer, only a count of how many questions each account has asked that day.

Cookies and your browser

Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. Answering an invitation sets a cookie for an hour so that the thank-you page can link to your own reading.

Your browser also keeps a few small notes for this site: whether you chose the light or dark theme, whether you have a subscription, whether you have a reading on file, how many of the 3 free tarot draws you have used today, which pieces are in your cart, and, until you close the tab, a question you were typing. None of them holds a birth date or a name.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.

What we do not do

We do not sell your details, show advertising, or write your name, email address or birth date into our logs.

Changing or removing your details

You can change or remove any person or place you have recorded on your account page, and change your email address and password there. To have your whole account removed, write to us.

Questions about any of this? Write to us through the form at the foot of this page.
