What it means
↑ Upright
Bulls' heads on the throne, vines across his robe, the castle he built behind him: mastery of the practical world, reached slowly and kept with care. As a person, he is one whose judgment in work and affairs you can trust; as a way of acting, he is the steady authority you are asked to take up, with courage, intelligence and a head for business. Lead by being dependable, and decide with the facts in front of you.
↓ Reversed
Strength in material things turned to its weak side: stubbornness, control held for its own sake, comfort pursued past the point of judgment, or dealings that court danger. It can be someone using their position badly, or your own reluctance to hear that a sound way has become a rigid one. Ask for an honest second opinion before you commit further.
The king sits in a garden so thick with grapes and flowers that his robe, embroidered with vines, seems to grow into it, a scepter in his right hand and a pentacle resting on his knee. One armored foot rests on a boar's head. The bulls carved on his throne belong to Taurus, an earth sign, and the boar is commonly read as strength brought under control: abundance kept by a firm hand.
Upright
Valor, intelligence, business, mathematical gifts, and success in these paths.
Reversed
Vice, weakness, perversity, peril.
